Record and send video and or voice only messages
It would be great if we could record video or audio messages and send them to our messenger contacts!
If our friends or family are not online but we want to send them something fun or meaningful that would be a great feature I think and some times people would like to just send a AUDIO vs Video

Screenshots!
Why isn't there the ability to take timed screenshots that save to your chat like Facebook Messenger does? This is incredibly disappointing. We've lost a lot of freedom switching to portal :(

Put spotlight back to how it was. So i can zoom in on my grandson when i call him
You took the spotlight option away. Please put it back. When I call my grandson I want to be able to follow him when he runs across the room. Or zoom in on him!

For calling of pets etc it would be great if you could for example call your tv so that your pet could see you.

Prime video just got added, it would be great to be able to co-watch with my kids at their homes either shows or sporting events and share the experience

Auto Answer
My dad has cancer in the hospital and isn’t able to click the answer button, nor use voice command. Please provide an auto-answer setting where we can call him in the hospital directly, without him needing to do anything to answer.

Show Missed Calls
If you receive a call from someone and you were not able to answer it, it would be nice to have an indicator on the screen that would open to a list of missed calls. The way it is now you need to scroll through all the "recent" list of friends and look for the words "missed call".
Unless you check that area, you currently have no idea of you missed someone's call.

Allow Portal to call other devices such as the Amazon Echos.
The ability to have the Portal call an Amazon Echo or any other similar device would open up a tremendous opportunity for users of all such devices and I believe that all the different device companies would benefit.
Look at the Cell phone industry today. Many manufacturers. Many Cell signal providers. The number of people using cell phones today would never have been that large if an Apple user could only call other Apple users or Verizon users could only call other Verizon users.

Allow acess for Facebook messenger
Allow users that do not have a smart phone or tablet to use FB messenger to access portal. Its not fair to ask someone you want to video chat to, to have to buy a portal. Especially if this was a gift so grandparents can see the grand kids. Some computers do not have a camera on them so this feature would be great.

More attention for Whatsapp
I know Whatsapp is not big in the USA as in other countries.
However, could the developers develop a full-fledged Whatsapp app on the Portal?
The current half-baked web "integration" is not good at all. Regularly got signed out, no "Hey Portal" support, it seems like the smart zoom doesn't work on Whatsapp call either.Most of the ads for Portal are for elderly users.

Transfer
Bring back the transfer it was the reason i bought the portal , othere wise it pointless to have portal if you can't transfer any more and i dont understand why you removed it in the first place , it port of the portal feature , other wise i just wasted money on a gadget that has nothing special , mostly when you have every thing on cell phone , so another word no transfer no need portal when you got cell phone , so wasted money on some thing i wont use since i cant transfer

I am going to need some video support for my ring doorbell and wyze cams. I bought 4 portals for my family instead of echo shows.
Video support for smart cameras. It would also make a great Directv now streaming device. You could be in the kitchen cooking and watching some games or kitchen shows.

External Speaker Connectivity
I don't buying a USB-C to Audio IN adapter but since using the USB C voids the warranty ( !!!!) PLEASE make it consumer usable. Bluetooth is great but if I am streaming music I want to hear throughout the whole first floor (like I currently use my Echo Dot for), I need to be able to truly connect (not Bluetooth) a good external speaker! remote administration
Allow remote administration to change settings. Got my mom one and due to another issue related to the superframe not shutting off and keeping her awake, she had the staff in her retirement community 400 miles away just unplug it. Other simple photo frames allow this.

Bring back photo casting
Removing photo casting is a horrible decision. Photo casting adds to the video calling experience by being able to add to the discussion. After buying 4 more portals as gifts for others this is really disappointing that we cannot use this now that we've bought them for family and friends.

Help elderly with a remote control to answer calls
Why don't you make a remote control to allow instant call answering? I have a 94yr mum that has the ordinary portal. She has issues as bed-bound. When receives a call she has to either try and lean up to answer or pickup Portal. Portal is not light. Voice control doesn't pick up voice as very quiet. so what normally happens is she needs to call a staff member to prop her up and answering the call. At least with a remote, she can answer the call. She has week voice so voice commands not good. Even if you charged…
