Add Google Smart Assistant
You have Alexa capability. Why not Google Assistant. Google Assistant is lot smarter than Alexa and does not need a new skill to be added unlike Alexa's.

Always on clock
The clock can only be configured to stay on for a maximum of 1 hour after darkness. I purchased the portal primarily for a bedside clock with the benefit of all of the other features. Portal suggested this was to reduce power consumption but surely an always on clock (dimmed through the night doesn't use that much power). Google and Echo seem to manage it ok!

Turn the video/audio calling feature off or on for an individual Portal.
There was a feature on Portal to turn video/audio calls off or on. That feature is no longer available.
I have two Portals in the home. One is in my Mom's room. She is elderly and has dementia. I let her listen to music and watch Amazon movies and receive calls. The other one is in my living room.
When someone calls on the Portal, both of them ring and it interrupts her music or movie. She can't talk to it to tell it to resume because she forgets. I have to go in her room and tell it to…

More choice for screen options
With the new update version 1.6.1 the viewing screens have changed when in a WhatsApp or Messenger group call. Could we not have a choice of the previous options PLUS the new options. As we prefered the previous options and they are so integral to how we use our portals. Not happy !!!

Portal Phone Book
In the Settings, one would be "Phone book'
You can become listed in the "Phone book" with and on/off toggle
You can set and change your "Phone book" name at any time.When you're ON, anyone can find you and call you from any other Portal, if they use the search name you specified.
This allows people that may NOT be on your Messenger list, but IS another Portal user to call, without being added as a friend in Messenger.
Also, a twist on this that would open Portal up to more business use and group use.

Make it possible to flip the image on Facebook Live on the Portal
Make it possible to flip the image on Facebook Live on the Portal like you can on Facebook Live using your phone. This way the viewer sees the scene the way it is; for example, when reading a story aloud to a child.

Get rid of the note feature. Or at least hide the icon. It is on top of my pictures, interfering with my enjoyment of my picture frame.
I use my Portal as a picture frame mostly. I call my sons once per week. So, having a symbol smack in the corner of every picture is very distracting. You could at least hide that icon, so that those of us who don't use it can put it somewhere else.

Allow livestreaming to facebook.
I'm returning my portal because I assumed this was a feature... As an influencer with a large audience I got excited about portal, but alas I misjudged it. At present it's just a non-portable iPad knockoff with only 6 apps and a better camera.
As soon as you add live-streaming, a ton of influencers are going to jump
on this and start using and talking about portal and sales will take off.

Facebook live overlays and control of framing
The ability to allow some basic overlays for more serious Facebook Live use e.g. a message, graphic etc. would be fantastic.
Additionally, being able to limit the tracking/moving/zooming zone would help with some basic framing for consistency i.e. either limits or a home 'framing' to help smooth out some of the occasional odd behaviour e.g. a tendency to look up to the ceiling instead of giving a full length view

Allow image folders to be hosted on dropbox and other cloud image hosting providers
Allow image folders to be hosted on dropbox and other cloud image hosting providers - the built in security can allow others to easily add as well.
Existing phone base upload can be very clunky if you want to have seperate folders by topic, and only allows 50 simultaneous uploads.

Messenger message that is more streamlined
They should have a way for you to look at your Facebook messenger messages on the portal tv so you can do messenger rooms video chats more easily that someone sent you and it might be nice to see your messages on the big screen!
