1. Intercom Features

   Here are some features that would make Portal very useful. I am looking for a home intercom solution, but Portal would be awkward.

   • I need to call room to room. Right now as I understand it, I would need to create an Facebook account for each room and call the room by its account. It would be nice if you have multiple Portals under the same Facebook account that you could call from one Portal (or your phone) to a specific room.
   • I would like to be able to create groups ahead of time and make a group call right from the get go instead of adding people after.
   • I would like to be able to broadcast to a group as well. Nucleus and Alexa both have that feature. It could just be an announcement like “Dinner is ready”.

   I realize Portal is currently targeted as being used for distant people to stay in touch, but with some simple tweaking you can make it a very good home automation/intercom system and sell multiple devices per household much more easily.

2. Alexa listening too long

   Alexa is listening way to long ! Almost a minute then you tell her to stop or go home and she still is listening . Then says I'm having problems understanding right now. It should be like 15 seconds if she dont hear a command she should stop listening. Listening wayyyyy too long please fix this . I'm so glad I have a 2 month return policy cause if these bugs dont get fixed asap theres no point in keeping it ! Facebook you got a lot of wok to do on this new device .

4. Add "Hey Portal MUTE MIC/Camera" voice command

   Please add this to her language. This would be an awesome feature. Please allow photo slideshow to still show when portal is muted. I noticed it turns the screen off . The photo thing is the best part we want to leave that going even if mic is off

5. Add "Hey Portal show me active contacts" voice command

   Hey portal show me active message contacts would be awesome to add to her knowledge. I turned my active switch off cause it stays on the screen to long before it goes back to photo slide show . .

6. USB-C Portable Battery Pack Support

   There's a USB-C and a detachable Power Supply. I would LOVE to be able to hook this up to a large battery pack to make this a little more portable. The Portal+ already has a handle on it. I want to move this from the kitchen to the coffee table!

7. Allow Portal to work with Alexa's Multi-room music

   Let us be able to connect portal through Alexa app. So we can add it to Alexa features like multi-room music . Another speaker in the house for music is awesome.

8. Lower System Alert and Outbound Ringtone volume

   The outbound ringtone and Alexa bongs are really loud. I'd like to lower the volume of these alerts independently from the actual call volume.

10. QR Codes for Easier Setup / Login

    First of all what an awesome device. The camera on this thing is incredible.

    Setting this thing up and authorizing could be better. Why can't we do something like a QR code similar to WhatsApp web login? That would just make this so much easier.

11. European Version Needed ASAP

    We need updates on the European version of the product. I am waiting to order the US version until I know for sure that there will be a European version. Please keep us updated and make one as soon as possible!!

12. Allow Alexa calling

    Allow Alexa calling through this device . Alexa allows free calling, Lets us choose what calling program we want to use portal or Alexa. Make it a open platform and sales will go through the roof!

13. Allow livestreaming to facebook.

    I'm returning my portal because I assumed this was a feature... As an influencer with a large audience I got excited about portal, but alas I misjudged it. At present it's just a non-portable iPad knockoff with only 6 apps and a better camera.

    As soon as you add live-streaming, a ton of influencers are going to jump
    on this and start using and talking about portal and sales will take off.
    You should forward this message to your head of product development.

    As part of a recent software update, the ability to stream on Facebook Live has been added to Portal, Portal Plus, and Portal Mini. Simply select the Facebook Live app on your device and select Start Live Video! As this feature is not available on Portal TV at this time, we are marking this idea as Started.
