Schedule for Superframe mode
Schedule for Superframe mode. Now maximum time before Portal goes to a sleep mode is just 1 hour (screen off), so Superframe mode is available just 1 hour.
I guess that screen off mode for Portal is necessary (to increase screen time life).
So I suggest to make Schedule for Superframe or screen off mode, like it working with night mode now. I mean get the ability to set screen off mode by time schedule, for example from 23:00 to 08:00(when I'm sleeping the Portal can be on screen off mode ) and from 09:00 to 19:00 (when I'm on…13 votes -
Give access to portal microphone from bluetooth
This would be great, in order to use the portal's amazing array of microphones and perfect speaker sound during voice calls on my cell phone !
Just like the JBL Flip speakers, which allow us to use the unit during calls, because there is a microphone on the speaker !13 votes -
QR Codes for Easier Setup / Login
First of all what an awesome device. The camera on this thing is incredible.
Setting this thing up and authorizing could be better. Why can't we do something like a QR code similar to WhatsApp web login? That would just make this so much easier.

Stop removing features!!
Facebook is scum. Just like Skype, they have started removing several nice features with an "update" once they've lured you to their device/service.
I got Facebook Portal last fall and suddenly they have started deleting features for no apparent reason.
Can no longer manually zoom in/zoom out and pan around the screen. Camera "auto" decides for you
Can no longer choose which person to focus on in a group video call. It automatically switches on its own using some random algorithm.
Can no longer transfer calls between Portal and FB Messenger on your phone

Picture in Picture with Live TV
Can you make a software update to include "Picture in Picture" with Live TV? We would love to be able to share watching a football game with family across the country. So our family member appears on one side of the tv, and live TV on the other side, and we watch it together.

Allow multiple Bluetooth headphones to connect to Portal at once
I recently bought a Portal device for my office to use when I work remotely. It would be very helpful if my team could connect multiple Bluetooth devices to the Portal at one time so that they would all have the ability to connect their headphones to the Portal at once.

Allow friends list to be hidden or to hide certain contacts
I don’t need all 500+ of my Facebook friends list on the portal. I’d like to just keep it to the favorites and I can add more if I’d like to. I don’t need my kids calling old classmates, business contacts etc.

Add Portal TV video streaming apps (Crave and Amazon Prime Video) to all Portal devices
Please add Portal TV video streaming apps such as Crave and Amazon Prime Video to all other Portal devices; currently these are only available in the web browser. Also consider adding other video streaming services such as Fibe TV, Disney+ and Netflix.

Portal TV remote mic as hand microphone
Ok so... my idea is simple, I know there already 8 microphones, and I know it’s working well. But I think having the possibility to use the remote as a proximity mic can be very useful. When you want to whisper or maybe your living room is so big that having the remote in your hand or chest pocket will help to increase the audio quality.

Allow an option to fill the portal screen with photo in Super frame
Currently, Super frame displays images with aspect ratio 16:10. Anything outside of this aspect ratio means images will have weird diffused bars at either sides. Mostly people upload images to Super frame from their phone cameras which typically have aspect ratio of 4:3.
Allow an option in Super frame to fill the screen with image (zoom and center, even better AI figures out where is face in the picture and does a smart crop to put the face in the frame).
This setting can be limited to landscape photos in landscape mode on Portal; or to Portrait photos when Portal…

Disable Ambient Mode
I am using the portal to display auto updating information on the built in browser from an internet website. My problem is that it keeps going into Ambient mode after 5 minutes - which is the max that the settings allow me to set. Need a way to shut off ambient mode in the settings.

Allow Portal to Follow me from room to room
I'm doing dishes and talking with my mom but suddenly my dryer in the other room goes off. How can I continue video calling with mom while not being rude? Well if I had multiple Portal devices she could see me as I hop from room-to-room. The cameras would simply track me and turn on as I entered the various rooms. I'd likely order one for my bedroom, kitchen, laundry room, office, workout space... and FB would make a TON! more money. Or, at least Portal could hop to my cell phone and onto my FB app for those places…

Camera zooming out
Whenever I call my mother in India, portal does a wonderful job of keeping her in focus.
But whenever she leaves the room and there is no one else in the room, portal stays zoomed in at the last location where it followed my mother.
I would have liked it do zoom out and show a wide angle view of the room when there is no one in the room so that I can see the entire room when it is empty.Thanks

Allow shared filters between Portal and Messenger
Currently if I’m on Messenger and my friend is on Portal, I can control my filters (mustache, etc) and he can control his. Would be great if the Messenger shared filters were available as well (useful when talking to my kid!).

Allow deactivation of camera tracking feature
Would be nice to be able to have stationary camera at times. Lighting, animals, and other undetermined issues create camera drift during calls at times.

Being able to connect to WPA2 Enterprise Wifi Networks
Currently the different kinds of wifi networks which we can connect to is very limited. Although "Portal was created with privacy, safety and security in mind" which is very understandable, so are many other products which allow us to be able to connect to other Wifi networks.
Examples of these are WPA2 Enterprise connections or ones which require more detailed specifications or allow certificates to be passed through.
