Give an option to remove passcode.
I hate having to use the passcode 15 times a day to access pictures and run a slideshow. It makes the product nearly unusable and make me want to switch to Amazon. Make it an OPTION to use a passcode, and for what to use a passcode for. I am the only one with access to this portal. It is in my bedroom. My front door and lock is the only passcode I need

Add Hanguel (Korean Keyboard) on Portal+
I cannot find a Korean Keyboard on my Portal device.
On a system setting, there are many keyboards of many languages, but the portal+ does not support Hanguel.
Since there are many K-pop fans who want to use hanguel while using messengers, why don't you add a Korean keyboard on Portal+?9 votes -
Connect google photos to screensaver.
A strong feature for non use is the ability to display facebook photos. With storage clouds displaying photos, customers will enjoy the experience more. I know me, I have 600+ travel photos on google photos waiting to be displayed on portal.

Pin & lock features for participants in a group call
2 simple features:
A button to pin fullscreen view on a particular person in a group call so it does not automatically change to anyone else
Another button to lock the view while in a call so that the call cannot be ended by naughty kids in the room who press the red shiny button

Facebook Live manual camera mode.
We are using a Portal Mini 10" to livestream worship services. It works great except for the camera tracking.
I can enter manual mode on a call and set the shot exactly the way I want it. Please, please, please, make this possible with Facebook Live.

Its disappointing to find out that to make a call on the portal you have to actually go to the portal and make the call.
Disappointing that to make a call I have to go to the portal and make a call. I cannot make a call on my phone which links the display on the portal. On the other hand when receiving a call both my phone and the portal rings and its practical if am sitting on the sofa I can answer on my phone and it displays in the portal screen. Why can it not be the same when making a call

There needs to be an auto answer feature for disabled/seniors.
There needs to be an option to allow preferred/trusted contacts to be able to auto-answer from the portal. Some seniors with dementia and other disabilities like my mother are unable to use the device. This is a simple software change that would really make the device a disabled-friendly way of communicating.

I have a 10”. Gen 2 portal and would like to use my tv as the screen. Why can’t you plug a HDMI to USB-C cable into the back of portal.

Record video chats
During this time being "sheltered in place" it would be nice to use the portal to make online posts with video chat guests it has a much better camera than most computers and much easier to use instead of a phone.

Security view from portal app
Please add a feature in the portal app to allow owner to use the camera as a security cam since alexa wont do dropin. This is easier to implement than trying to do with Alexa!

Enable Talk Function Through Ring Doorbell
I can view the front door camera through the Ring Doorbell using Alexa, but there is no way to activate the mic to talk through the device. This is a major drawback for people wanting to monitor people at the front door using Portal. I was lead to believe the Portal had that functionality after viewing the picture on your website showing the front door view with a "mic on" icon in lower left corner https://portal.facebook.com/features/.

The camera should be able to convert from a smart camera to a regular wide camera
When I video called using my portal, there were 4 people in total with me and it kept on focusing on one or two people only. If there was an option to have it be a regular camera when needed and then can be a smart camera that follows people, this would come in handy a lot.

Alexa listening too long
Alexa is listening way to long ! Almost a minute then you tell her to stop or go home and she still is listening . Then says I'm having problems understanding right now. It should be like 15 seconds if she dont hear a command she should stop listening. Listening wayyyyy too long please fix this . I'm so glad I have a 2 month return policy cause if these bugs dont get fixed asap theres no point in keeping it ! Facebook you got a lot of wok to do on this new device .

Portal TV - use built in speaker to improve echo problems
I am posting this again even though multiple users have already raised this issue. Come on Facebook, it should be easy to add this setting on Portal TV!
Please could the developers include an option on the Portal TV to ONLY use the built in speaker? This is the only way I am able to get it to work without echoing (I have already tried other troubleshooting steps). A surprising number of people I know returned their Portal TV because of problems with echo, which would be mostly fixed by allowing a user to change this setting, since the built…

Child lock during call
The latest problem with Facebook Portal is that kids turn on some loud and annoying effect & then other people in group call can't turn them off. Sometimes they end the call. Sometimes they turn off the mic or camera. Clearly Portal developers didn't foresee that kids can play with it. There is no ability to lock the UI/effects during a call. Please add a simple lock or PIN so only adults can end the call or apply effects.
