Transfer feature
The only reason I bought the Portal was for the transfer feature. I was able to communicate with my daughter who lives in another state. Then one day it was gone. I spend months on the phone with tech support telling me it was a technical issue that was being worked on. Now I got an email saying that they are doing away with the feature. I bought my portal through Amazon so I can no longer return because I spent so many months waiting for the repair. The portal is useless to me now and I feel ripped off!…

Schedule for Superframe mode
Schedule for Superframe mode. Now maximum time before Portal goes to a sleep mode is just 1 hour (screen off), so Superframe mode is available just 1 hour.
I guess that screen off mode for Portal is necessary (to increase screen time life).
So I suggest to make Schedule for Superframe or screen off mode, like it working with night mode now. I mean get the ability to set screen off mode by time schedule, for example from 23:00 to 08:00(when I'm sleeping the Portal can be on screen off mode ) and from 09:00 to 19:00 (when I'm on…13 votes -
Speech to text captioning
I bought this for my 91 year old mother who is extremely hearing impaired, the addition of captioning to a video call would be very helpful.

Give access to portal microphone from bluetooth
This would be great, in order to use the portal's amazing array of microphones and perfect speaker sound during voice calls on my cell phone !

Hey portal, turn on/off bluetooth
Portal connects to home audio or wireless headphones over bluetooth but to navigate through all the settings to turn on or off bluetooth when i want to use headphones/inbuilt speaker is super clunky

QR Codes for Easier Setup / Login
First of all what an awesome device. The camera on this thing is incredible.
Setting this thing up and authorizing could be better. Why can't we do something like a QR code similar to WhatsApp web login? That would just make this so much easier.

Portal pictures not looping
My portal pictures have stopped looping. If I switch off and on it will (after the designated minutes) go through my 42 photos, come to the end and then just sit there. Even after it is woken up it just comes up with the last photo. I’ve done a factory reset, I’ve deleted and re inputed the photos still same problem. On my portal I can turn the ‘display on portal’ off and on and it just runs through the photos to the end then stops on the last photo.

Ergonomics suitable for grandparents, people with disability and those who are less tech-savvy
Hello
I bought a Portal TV for my grandfather. Was expecting the ergonomics to be suitable for some who older and is less tech-savvy.
We have found the buttons on the remote are small and difficult to use if you have poor dexterity and the UI is cluttered with unnecessary options.
Can you provide ergonomic hardware and an update to greatly simplify the interface?
The sorts of things that I was expecting would be
Large buttons on the remote
Options menus hidden
Removal of feedback requests
Unused apps/messaging platform hiddenEssentially following a true mobile-first design methodology.

Replacing remote control
You are the only people that I know of who do not supply replacement remote controls. WHY!!! I ASK. It means that if you need a replacement control you have to buy the complete system. NO WAY!!! is anybody doing that. So it is time that the Big Boss’s upstairs should be sorting this out NOW as a priority. We are now in the 21st century!!!!

App for full remote access to settings
You need to add option on portal app so portal settings can be adjusted remotely. This would help as in our case mother in-law who is 90 technology challenged as well as English/ language barrier ... if we had option on app to dial into her portal and fix things like her volume for example would be a big help

Picture in Picture with Live TV
Can you make a software update to include "Picture in Picture" with Live TV? We would love to be able to share watching a football game with family across the country. So our family member appears on one side of the tv, and live TV on the other side, and we watch it together.

I really want to buy portal to chat with my family,however. the network in my country doesn't support Facebook. I need to use the other apps like wechat or Skype. I really hope portal can support those apps one day in the future soon.

Allow multiple Bluetooth headphones to connect to Portal at once
I recently bought a Portal device for my office to use when I work remotely. It would be very helpful if my team could connect multiple Bluetooth devices to the Portal at one time so that they would all have the ability to connect their headphones to the Portal at once.

Allow friends list to be hidden or to hide certain contacts
I don’t need all 500+ of my Facebook friends list on the portal. I’d like to just keep it to the favorites and I can add more if I’d like to. I don’t need my kids calling old classmates, business contacts etc.

Live video on portal through watch
I cant watch live on watch on portal only on my phone and xbox but what if I want to watch tv and watch glipses of a facebook live session like skillet releaseing a new song... Etc.
