1. Loading your own pictures in different directories, playing with music

   I love the fact I can play music via alexa and watch my pictures from Facebook.
   Is it possible to develop an App so I can upload / connect my pictures maybe in different directories to show whilst I play music.
   I can upload to Facebook but my friends might get feed up with me posting just to get them on facebook and they play back in a random order.

6. Filter background sound and fix echo between portals

   The portals pick up sounds from their speakers/your speakers in the mic and sends it back to the other user causing an echo. Many other video chat products do this today, it really seems like a must have for a stand alone premium chat product.

   Firstly, the portal (especially the portal tv) should try and cancel out sounds in my mic that come out of my speaker. Understandably that's difficult even though some other products manage to do this quite well.

   Secondly, and likely easier, is to just filter out background sound better. If there's a tv in another room, the portal picks it up and jacks up the volume for people on the call. It's obnoxious. If it's background noise, then filter it out. I can't have a conversation if anyone else in my household is doing anything.

   Especially the portal tv (receiver), it seems to echo the other users sound back to them and they hate it (sender is any portal product). I understand I can "fix" this by lowering my volume/disabling external speakers, but that's a ridiculous ask for a premium video chat product when I can just facetime for free and it doesn't have any of these problems.

7. Allow video calling while you are playing Facebook games

   I love the portal, but it would make it so much better if I were able to play the games that are available in Facebook games, like battleship and words with friends while in a video call on the portal. that way it actually feels like I'm playing the games (with) my friends and not a computer

8. Ringtone required for incoming video call

   Could we have a ringtone for incoming calls on portal plus please. (Not the tv portal version). The single ding that sounds cannot be heard easily Even with the volume turned up.I am sure a simple solution could be found and introduced as it would rally help. At the moment we are struggling to hear any call . It’s a shame because the actual portal is well made and easy to use.

9. Manual Mode For the Other Caller

   Once again, Portal has removed a critical feature, that was a driving factor in my decision to purchase a portal... Bring back the Manual mode for other callers! I use this to call my grandparents, and sometimes they will be far back In the room, or will try to show me things they are holding, and without the ability to control the camera and zoom, many times the "smart camera" will jump to random objects in the room... I understand there are privacy concerns. And I feel this could benefit from a "trusted contacts" list, like mentioned elsewhere. A "trusted contact" would be able to control my camera when in a call. Please and thank you!

    Visitors and Family are restricted from accessing hospitals during Covid-19. Many people rely on their caregivers for help with their care. Establishing Portal throughout healthcare institutions can faciliate increased emotional support, avenues for family and patient engagement with the care team, ensuring understanding of code status and advance care lans by medical power of attorneys, and opportunities for loved ones to speak with their loved one especially patients that may have impaired faculties, dementia, limited resources, or do not typically use a smart phone. Portal can be an avenue to families, care teams, and our ill loved ones to connect through a facility's portal. Portal hubs/booths could also be established in private rooms for goals of care discussions/end of life care decisions. Portal hubs/booths could also be established in community centers, libraries, or senior centers for communities with limited wifi/broadband/ economic resources to facilitate family conversations. A structured shared portal pod could also facilitate and assist people who may need coaching/technical help due to technological illiteracy, poor vision, or dexterity.

11. Portal needs to have messenger kids intergration

    Especially during these times of our current global state, portal users and messenger kids users should be able to call each other. Yes, portal is designed as a smart home/assistant device but also is an option for those who are not as tech savvy as others or may not own a computer. I purchased a portal for my mother in law who resides in a senior living community due to her lack of knowledge and had this setup as not only something to help her with remembering things but also to communicate with her family members via video that she may not be able to see due to distance and her inability to drive. Now during the current Covid-19 pandemic, facilities like hers will not allow individuals under the age of 18 into the building and without portal and kids messenger integration it does not allow her to keep in touch with her grandchildren. I see this a huge oversight within the use of the device and can be easily resolved with a simple software upgrade. We are all being told to stay at home and save lives and during this time several companies are doing their part to lift the spirits of those in need. I believe this fix to help grandparents to see their grandchildren is something that can help at this time.

    Please add RingCentral to your apps. Or at least make it so that it will work in the browser. I was hoping I could at least use it that way. This is where all my client contacts are, and it is not appropriate to be their friend on facebook.

    It is annoying to be able to call only people who have facebook with messenger on their phone with voice controlled "hey portal." I keep forgetting who has WhatsApp and who does not.

    1. A button to pin fullscreen view on a particular person in a group call so it does not automatically change to anyone else

    2. Another button to lock the view while in a call so that the call cannot be ended by naughty kids in the room who press the red shiny button

18. Bigger remote for the elderly for Portal TV

    i was wondering , as you aim this product at the elderly , would it not be an idea to make it more age friendly. I have purchased 2 to mount on my tv and my elderly mother, who has Parkinsons , firstly the packaging is terrible to open , i have arthritis as do a lot of older people , what a job releasing it from firstly the plastic cover then having to virtually destroy the packaging for the item to slide out . Apart from fighting through more plastic we reach the remote , wow what joke the whole thing is too small and fiddly . Do you have or know of a remote more suited to the elderly user , trying to use it when a call comes in, as it is slippery, and you do not want to miss the call can be quite frustrating

19. Remote Control Redesign - Accessibility

    The remote control is all black against a black background - come on FB - how is this accessible to people with sight issues? Whilst I appreciate that there is a voice assistant built in, if you are going to provide a remote control, please at least make sure that it is visible and comfortable for users.

    The power button not being at the top is daft - this is where one would expect a standby button. The arrows being dipped makes it difficult to use the buttons above without staring at the remote.

    A remote should be usable without looking and the indentation should be such that a blind or partially sighted person should be able to feel their way around and know what button they are pressing.

    I think you possibly found that you could not make the text white as it would look too much like the Amazon Firestick TV remote (likely patented) - there are other ways to make the remote different than to make the button functionality invisible..

    I also second other poster's ideas that replacement remotes should be available and I'd add that they should not cost the earth..

    Screen time should be controlled for young children. Videos on Watch app may not suitable for young children. Control access to Watch app should be added like (1) Passcode to start Watch app, or (2) Disable/hide it completely, (3) Restricted the screen time for the Watch app
