  1. Design better or wall mounted TV's

    Hi, I really do enjoy using Portal.
    We use it on two wall mounted TV's.
    We have no cabinet underneath for aesthetic reasons.
    The Portal has cables that stick out the back effectively making the depth of the unit longer because of the HDMI and power lead. Would be good if you used 90 degree male cables leads or built generation two to insert up the bottom.

    Another aspect is the power lead. It is proprietary to your unit and the way the socket is built is very awkward. Ideally, we would like to power it off a USB on…

  2. Enable the microphone icon in Google.com & YouTube apps!

    Could you please enable the microphone icon next to the Search field in Google.com & YouTube, so search info can be spoken, instead of typed-in? That on-screen button is able to be used in those apps on computers, tablets, & phones, so why not on Portal?? Since Portal is meant to be a voice-activated device, enabling the microphone in these apps would be in keeping with Portal's premise.

  3. Enable Portal use with Whatsapp WITHOUT need to also run WhatsApp on mobile phonefor

    If you are going to promote Portal as being suitable for "Grandparents" and capable of working with just a WhatsApp account, it must do so without the need to also be running WhatsApp on a mobile phone. If people (particularly elderly) are capable of using WhatsApp on a smartphone, they don't really have a need for Portal !

  4. allow spotlight to be used on your own camera

    Allow caller to put spotlight on a person in their physical area - I want the spotlight to follow my child, who is with me, around the room rather than me. My elderly grandmother doesn't have a portal, and even if I buy her one, she may not be able to figure out how to spotlight my daughter.

  5. Dont make it so difficult to return an item

    Simple have a system that automates the return. I spent several hours trying to arrange a return. Your system stated address unverified when it was the exact same address as the delivery. I have now been told the label should be with me in a few days....whilst another person thought it appropriate to remind me I only have 30 days to return........

  6. Add GeoLocation to Photo Super Frame mode: “This photo was taken in New York, March 2018”

    The photo super frame mode looks great but is cluttered with unnecessary and uninteresting information. For example: when the photo was added to an album. How does that interest me? Instead of “photo was last added to album 5 days ago”, how about “Photo was taken in Morocco, July 2017” wouldn’t I rather be reminded of where and when the photo was taken? To relive my memories? Can’t the meta data from the photo be used to locate it the same way the Google Photos app does? Also the other information on the screen clutters the view as well, if…

  7. Portal TV remote mic as hand microphone

    Ok so... my idea is simple, I know there already 8 microphones, and I know it’s working well. But I think having the possibility to use the remote as a proximity mic can be very useful. When you want to whisper or maybe your living room is so big that having the remote in your hand or chest pocket will help to increase the audio quality.

  9. Access to UK based news apps

    Hello
    I have been chatting to a lovely facebook portal member of staff today called lester who was assisting me with my enquiry regarding news apps.
    I noticed many of the apps are usa or global however being based in uk I wanted access to bbc news or other UK based news sites so that I can use voice portal to access.
    I think it would be good for portal to allow country access to apps so you can access important apps for where you live .

  13. Instead of a red circle with a white X to end a call, why not (more common and makes sense) a red circle with a PHONE icon inside!?

    Would it not be more 'user friendly/appropriate/common/normal to simply have an icon of a phone handset in a red circle, as is common with most calling apps?

  14. Connecting safely with grandchildren

    I purchased 2 Portal devices; a Portal (for my granddaughter) and a Portal+ for myself, with the hope that we could connect/video chat, play games, and do other things together. However roadblock 1 she isn't able to connect using her kids messenger account, which would be A LOT safer than using her mom's, 2 it seems as though we can't play games in real-time while seeing and talking with each other.
