  1. Rooms I create in Messenger should be joinable from Portal and vice versa

    Currently, Rooms I have created in messenger are not joinable from my Portal. Rooms I create in Portal are don't persist after all participants have left. Ideally, the rooms experience would be consistent across both messenger and Portal.

  2. Allow calls to seamlessly transition from Portal to another device and back again

    I'd like to be able to join a call from my Portal then switch the call to my phone and vice versa. This way I don't have to hang up and call again. This works great between other messenger devices, but not on Portal. However, the call waiting feature of portal is wonderful and should not be sacrificed to enable this! Portal is the only facebook messenger device that allows another caller to call the user (ringing both on phones and portals) while another call is active, which is absolutely wonderful.

  3. Bug: calls remaining connected even after dropped on one end

    On my Portal Mini, a call remained connected where my video and audio were still transmitting, but on the other end, the call was disconnected. The other person's picture was displayed, but no audio or video. On the other person's end, the call simply dropped. When she attempted to call me back, she got the message "Nate is on another call."

    I ran into a similar issue with Messenger, where a call was not connected on my phone, but the recipient was actually connected. The recipient could see and hear me, but I couldn't see or hear them and there…

  4. Show call rejection and disconnection reason like Messenger

    When a call doesn't connect, "did not answer" is the only thing displayed. On Messenger, when a call doesn't connect, "[name] is on another call," "[name] did not answer," and "couldn't connect" are all possible reasons for a call not connecting that are displayed to the user. This allows the caller to know whether the recipient actively rejected a call or simply is offline. That's useful to know whether it's polite for the caller to call again later after the call doesn't go through or whether the caller should just wait to be called back.

  5. On devices that don't support wifi 6, don't display wifi 6 networks as options to connect

    The current generation of Portal devices doesn't support wifi 6 (at least, not with the current firmware). However, when scanning wifi networks to connect to, Portal still lists wifi 6 networks and allows the user to type a password and attempt to connect. Then, the connection fails with a generic message. This is confusing for users who simply set up a current generation router with default settings, since it's unclear why Portal can't connect. Ideally, Portal would either hide wifi 6 networks from the network list or otherwise indicate the reason for the connection failure so the user knows what…

  6. Wifi 6 Support

    Please enable support for Wifi 6 and WPA 3. It's ideal for IOT devices and isn't backwards compatible, so devices that don't support Wifi 6 cannot connect to Wifi 6 networks over 802.11ac or earlier. As a result, the lack of support makes Portal totally incompatible with current-gen wifi networks, unless a compatibility mode is enabled on the access point (thus disabling many of the advantages of wifi 6). WPA3 support will add peace of mind for privacy-oriented users as well.

  7. Bluetooth pairing UI bug

    On Portal Mini, connecting bluetooth devices to use the Portal as a bluetooth speaker (from either direction) results in the Portal UI spinning forever on "Pairing..." even after a connection is established. Power cycling the portal then unchecking the option for "use this device as a headset" resolves the issue, but there's no way to access that screen while it's stuck on pairing. I tested this with a Galaxy Note 10+ running Android 10, a Windows PC running Windows 20262 using an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160 MHz combined wifi and bluetooth M.2 card, and an Ubuntu 16.04 PC using…

  8. Selected Photo Glitch

    I am having glitching issues with the Portal app. Specifically, I try to add photos that I have permitted Portal to access to the "Portal Uploads" folder -- and as I select each of the photos I want to add -- the screen then randomly scrolls up. So I have to scroll all the way back down again to try to add photos. When I try to add photos again, then the screen automatically scrolls ALL the way back to a specific point on the app. It makes it difficult to add selected photos.

  10. Allow using the Portal to call to people using other browsers than Chrome or Opera.

    I have been trying to use my new Portal since before Thanksgiving but have unable to make any connections to other family members because they all use Safari or Windows browsers. Your instructions do not make this clear. So, my only choices for using this product is as a doorstop or a picture frame for photos. To me that makes it worthless!

  15. Enable multi-country shipping

    With a lot of families living across borders and not being able to meet for Christmas, it would be nice to be able to ship to another country that sell Portal devices while taking advantages of offers available.
    For example, France is offering a 50€ discount for 2 items purchased, whereas the UK has a discount on a single item. It makes no sense to purchase them individually.

  18. Control other Spotify Connect-enabled devices from the Spotify app

    I don't listen to Spotify on my Portal - I have a Spotify-enabled AV receiver in the same room (and same WiFi network). However, I would love to be able to control that receiver from Portal, not just from my smartphone.

  19. Remote Control needs changing

    I installed the portal with my elderly parents early this year. They are not internet wise. Please note that I would like to give the following feedback.

    The handheld controller is too small. My father has a shaky hand, and his thumb straddles both the central button and the external circle. The number of times he has managed to call two seperate contacts is comical. It would be useful for the home button and the select button to be very brightly coloured.
