Remote control of settings
Allow remote control of the device via app or browser. I think Grandma's that might not be very tech savvy are a big market for this device. I bought one for my 96 year old mother in law. Everything worked great when I left her, but now..... I wish I could get in remotely and check settings or diagnose.

Display more photos
Displaying more than 50 photos. When I first got my portal I created a portal slideshow album on Facebook that has over 1000 photos and my portal used to randomly go through all of them. Now it displays the same 50 photos over and over. Why did you guys change this? ☹️

Allow longer video recording and saving / uploading
I want to use Portal + to track me as I make a selfie video or during a practice / workout session. This has a great camera and mic, can we use it to make videos? Please? No more selfie stick and poor sound quality
76 votesThanks for providing this feature request. As part of a recent software, we released the Photo Booth app on Portal. Photo booth allows you to take photos and short videos with your Portal and send them via Facebook Messenger. However, as this idea seems to be more about recording and saving longer videos, we’re going to leave this one open and change the title to better reflect this. Thanks!

Please make an option to drop in on Portal from Mobile app (Portal from Facebook app) and between Portal of the same account.

Intercom Features
Here are some features that would make Portal very useful. I am looking for a home intercom solution, but Portal would be awkward.
- I need to call room to room. Right now as I understand it, I would need to create an Facebook account for each room and call the room by its account. It would be nice if you have multiple Portals under the same Facebook account that you could call from one Portal (or your phone) to a specific room.
- I would like to be able to create groups ahead of time and make a group call right…

The zoom app that was released for the Facebook portal plus does not support breakout sessions/rooms this would be a big plus for the Facebook portal if it did please add that support

A set of games that can be played while chatting (like chess)

The last update sucks for seniors
Hello, I bought the portal for my visually impaired grandmother at Christmas 2020. Everything was fine, she was using it wonderfully and it really made her smile again in this time of covid. The icons for calling were large, they were easily found, they were in a defined order and were easier to remember. It was perfect ! and above all she really managed to use it on her own. But here it is, yesterday, an automatic update was set up and since then we have been very disappointed. The icons for calling have become very small, they change order…

Enable Alexa video skills
Portal really should have full Alexa functionality, most importantly, Alexa video skills. The limited version of Alexa that is built in to Porta does not take advantage of the screen or the many video skills that Alexa has, such as video news, screensaver videos, games, Amazon Prime Movies and Shows, cooking videos, etc. Defeats the purpose of having a screen; I could get an Echo Dot for $19.99 instead.

WHY WAS THE LIVE APP TAKEN OFF PORTAL?
Why would you not support the LIVE option on the portal after you new update? I purchased the Portal just for this specific feature, to go LIVE on facebook and have a camera follow me, which was a cool feature. I do not use it for anything else. WHY WOULD YOU NOT KEEP THIS ON YOUR FACEBOOK PORTAL?? Now your consumers cant even use this expensive device for what they purchased it for? where is my refund then?

Kind of odd but apparently there's no ability to purchase a replacement remote control or to download an App that can function as a remote on my phone. It's a little frustrating that my only option is to buy a new Portal TV?

Add the ability to add the portal to Alexa device groups
I love my home automation and would love to have the full featured Alexa in the device so I don't have two devices in my kitchen.
One feature I am missing is the ability to add the portal to a group so it can turn a room lights without specifying what room I am talking about.
Right now the portal is invisible in groups.

PLEASE make Portal compatible with Google Meet
I am an educator. As you know, nearly all school related meetings during the pandemic have been done remotely. Our school system uses Google Meet as a platform for all remote engagements.
After being gifted a Portal (which we are generally enjoying) I spent a good part of this afternoon trying to get it to work with Google Meet. I can go to the site from my Google Calendar, but I am unable to join the meeting because the microphone and camera are blocked - and no amount of fussing with various settings has changed the situation.

Kid mode / disable on screen buttons
my 4 yr old loves to push buttons on the screen. Which means everytime we try to make a call he just hangs up on the person, or starts to randomly call people. It would be nice to be able to lock out these functions when in a call.
